Kyma Eventing Subscriptions and Event-Driven Functions

A Kyma Eventing Subscription is a Kubernetes custom resource that configures a workload — such as a microservice or Function — to receive specific event types published within the Kyma environment. Developers use it to build event-driven extensions of SAP systems, allowing a single Subscription to be configured to receive multiple event types and trigger the appropriate workload when matching events arrive. Care must be taken with Subscription filters, as misconfiguration can cause a subscriber to receive irrelevant events that do not match the intended criteria. This pattern is central to deploying event-driven workloads in the Kyma environment to extend SAP systems.
