Principal Propagation

Principal propagation is a mechanism on SAP Business Technology Platform that allows user identity information to be forwarded between applications or services, so that the original user context is preserved across service calls. Developers use it to ensure that downstream services or applications can authenticate and authorize requests based on the identity of the end user who initiated the interaction, rather than a generic technical user. This is particularly relevant when building multi-service architectures where consistent, user-level access control must be maintained end to end.
