AUTHORITY-CHECK Statement in ABAP Behavior Implementation

The AUTHORITY-CHECK statement is an ABAP statement used inside behavior implementations to programmatically verify whether a user is authorized to perform a specific action, such as a write activity, on a given object. Developers use it to protect RAP business objects against unauthorized access by checking authorization objects and their field values at runtime. When the check fails, the implementation can reject the operation and return an appropriate error message to the caller. This approach is described as part of implementing protection against unauthorized write activities in the SAP BTP, ABAP Environment.
